Application procedure EU foreign citizens


All citizens of the EU Member States and the European Economic Area may apply to study at the University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev" under the conditions and according to the procedure for admission of Bulgarian citizens (by competition).

The rules for accepting students at the University of Ruse for the academic year 2024/2025 are based on the Ordinance adopted by the Council of Ministers on the state requirements for accepting students in the higher education institutions of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Higher Education Act.

Requirements for application:

For Bachelor's programs:
  1. To have completed secondary education, giving them the right to continue their studies in the higher schools of the country that issued the diploma.
  2. To have a pass mark in the secondary education diploma for the relevant subjects. In case there is no mark in the secondary education diploma for the subject relevant to the competition, the person shall submit a document of having passed an exam in that subject in a Bulgarian school designated by the Ministry of Education; 
  3. Not to have any diseases contraindicated for education and for the practice of the profession they apply for.

For Master's programs: Guide to Master's programs of the University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev" for the current academic year.
  1. Candidate-students apply in person or through a representative at the Rector's Office or on the website for online application: https://online.uni-ruse.bg. The deadlines for the current academic year are published in the section "Admission Rules" as well as in the candidate-students' guide-book for the current academic year.
  2. Information about the documents required for the application is published in the section "Application documents".

Note:
Graduates from non-Bulgarian schools present a certificate from the Regional Department of Education (RDE) in the city of residence or in the city of Ruse for recognized secondary education with recalculated grades in individual subjects according to the six-point system.
